Pathways to Wellness: Occupational Therapy in Cancer Care

This workshop focuses on techniques to improve scar healing and reduce the discomfort associated with axillary web syndrome (also known as cording). Participants will learn effective scar massage methods, including soft tissue mobilization and collagen remodeling techniques. The session also covers gentle stretching exercises, nerve gliding protocols, and other strategies to improve range of motion and alleviate nerve restrictions. Practical demonstrations will help attendees incorporate these techniques into their care routines to enhance functional recovery.
